Overview
We are currently seeking a Service Support - Technician/Mechanic to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a technician/mechanic to advance their career to the next level where interacting with customers directly providing technical support and assistance. The position will require some travel locally and interstate from time to time.
The position is suited to a person who is a self-starter that can work with minimal supervision. Has initiative, can forward plan and works well with other team members.
The successful candidate will report to the Engineering & After Sales Manager.
Prerequisites
* Electronic Engine, fault finding, testing and programming
* Warranty Diagnosis
* Inspect and Review Engine Installations to ensure they conform to all standards outlined by OEM
* Providing Technical assistance to end users/dealers and OEM's
Skills and attributes
* Previous experience in the Diesel Engine service/support environment.
* Qualified diesel mechanic/fitter with 5 years' experience
* Competent in use of Microsoft
* Demonstrated ability to complete company projects on time
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Have a great attitude, reliable and have a high level of initiative
* An ability to apply and adhere to OH&S in the workplace
* Having experience working in the marine industry would be viewed favourably.

Power Equipment is the Exclusive Australian, New Zealand and South Pacific Distributor for Yanmar and John Deere diesel engines for Marine, Industrial and Agriculture applications ranging from 5HP to 2000HP. We are seeking the services of a competent - Technician/Mechanic. Ideally you will have minimum 5 years in field experience.
