About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and dynamic Restaurant Manager to lead our front-of-house team at Cape Lodge. This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional with enthusiasm, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a drive to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
As Restaurant Manager, you will oversee all aspects of service and operations, ensuring seamless coordination with our culinary team, while managing staff, service standards, stock control, and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor, and inspire the front‐of‐house team to deliver outstanding service
* Partner with the kitchen to ensure smooth, coordinated service
* Develop and uphold service standards that exceed guest expectations
* Build strong relationships with guests, suppliers, and stakeholders
* Manage budgets, forecasting, and financial performance
* Support sales and marketing initiatives to drive revenue
* Oversee stock control and conduct regular stocktakes
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, liquor, and food regulations
* Foster a positive, growth‐focused team culture
* Continually innovate to enhance the guest experience
About You
* 2+ years in a senior hospitality management role, ideally within a hotel or accommodation‐based restaurant
* Proven leadership skills and experience building high‐performing teams
* Strong financial understanding, including budgeting and reporting
* Ability to contribute to sales and marketing strategies
* Excellent communication and relationship‐building skills
* Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences
* Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, hands‐on approach
* Strong knowledge of food, wine, and beverage service
