The Role – Urgent Care Registered Nurse
We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our Urgent Care clinic in Bega, providing essential urgent care to the Sapphire Coast community. In this role, you will play an important part in assessing, triaging and delivering timely nursing care to patients presenting with non-life-threatening urgent conditions. You will work in close collaboration with medical staff to provide safe, efficient, and patient-focused care in a modern primary healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities
• Welcome and triage patients presenting to Urgent Care, identifying clinical priorities promptly and accurately.
• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and determine appropriate care pathways.
• Recognise and escalate clinical deterioration or urgent conditions confidently and without delay.
• Perform a range of hands-on clinical procedures such as wound care, plastering and assisting during minor procedures.
• Work effectively in a fast-moving environment where patient needs and workload vary daily.
• Provide clear education and supportive communication to patients and families throughout their care journey.
• Complete accurate documentation to maintain continuity of care and uphold clinical safety standards.
• Contribute to maintaining a safe workplace by participating in safety processes and reporting risks appropriately.

About You
• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Availability to work a rotating roster including evenings and weekends.
• Minimum 3 years’ post-registration experience in one or more of the following:
– Emergency Department
– Triage nursing
– ICU / CCU
– Rural or remote acute care
• Experience in urgent care or emergency triage is highly regarded.
• Ability to recognise and respond to signs of clinical deterioration.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail and confidence working autonomously.
• Commitment to providing respectful, patient-centred care.
• Working with Children Check and National Police Check (or ability to obtain).
