About the role
Our Regency Park Distribution Centre houses several specialist branches and teams, supporting grouped logistics, repair and maintenance functions. The driver position is part of the DC's logistics function to provide service to customers and support the branch network with large and specialist equipment, improving convenience, utilisation and productivity.
Responsibilities
* Provide exceptional customer service at all times
* Instruct and demonstrate to customers on equipment operation, including use of QR codes
* Make recommendations about complementary equipment or products to meet customer needs
* Proactively engage with scheduling to complete duties effectively and efficiently
* Schedule day-to-day deliveries and pickups
* Perform scanning, pickup and delivery of equipment
* Load/unload equipment and apply load restraint
* Be familiar and flexible across multiple classes of vehicles as required by equipment type
* Understand load restraint, mass and dimension principles
About you
* Minimum MR licence required
* Knowledgeable and compliant with Chain of Responsibility
* Strong communication skills: follow directions, ask questions to ensure understanding, and proactively provide information to the team
* Ability to use computers and mobile devices for email, internet and basic transactional processing
* Previous experience in a customer service role; genuine interest in helping others
* Time management skills, including the ability to plan ahead and adapt to changes in priorities
