Westernport Marina is seeking an experienced Marina Maintenance Supervisor to join our team on a part-time basis in Hastings, Victoria. In this essential role, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our marina facilities, ensuring they are well-maintained and safe for our customers.
The role is a part time position, 4 days per week.
What you'll be doing
* Coordinate and supervise the marina's maintenance team, service delivery partners and contractors
* Work closely with the marina operations team to coordinate maintenance tasks in line with day-to-day marina operations
* Perform regular inspections of the marina's infrastructure including docks, walkways, electrical systems, straddle lift carrier, building tenancies and groundskeeping.
* Manage and plan the marina maintenance schedule using existing software
* Assist with the planning and execution of larger maintenance projects.
* Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards
* Liaise with marina management to provide updates and recommendations on the condition of the facilities
* Support the marina team in other duties as required, ensuring a high level of customer service
What we're looking for
* Experience in a supervisory role within a marina or marine maintenance industry is preferred
* A Mechanical or Electrical trade background is preferred.
* Demonstrated experience supervising maintenance contractors.
* Demonstrated experience using maintenance software programs
* Ability to lead and motivate a team, delegating tasks and ensuring timely completion of work
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with marina management, customers, and external contractors
* Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and the ability to ensure a safe working environment
