Are you an experienced and compassionate Occupational Therapist with a passion for supporting individuals and families through palliative and end-of-life care? We are seeking a dedicated Level 3 Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary palliative care team, delivering high-quality, person-centred care to patients with progressive, life-limiting illnesses. This is a meaningful opportunity to make a lasting impact by helping people maintain dignity, autonomy, and comfort during some of life's most challenging transitions.
In this senior role, you will provide clinical leadership and governance across hospital, community, and home-based settings. You'll collaborate closely with patients, families, carers, and healthcare professionals to design and implement holistic, evidence-based interventions that promote engagement in meaningful activities and improve quality of life. Your advanced clinical expertise, compassionate approach, and commitment to excellence will be instrumental in shaping the future of palliative occupational therapy within our service.
What You'll Be Doing
The senior occupational therapist provides clinical governance, leadership and expertise within occupational therapy services including the provision of safe, timely, compassionate and high quality person-centered care.

Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital is located in the city of Bankstown and is in one of the most multicultural local government areas (LGA) in Australia. This hospital has tertiary affiliations with three universities and offers a range of roles and experiences to employees.
The hospital receives highly diverse presentations in ED as well as having general medical and surgical services and sub-specialty services across the hospital. * Demonstrated advanced clinical skills and significant experience in the provision of occupational therapy services within Palliative Care.
* Demonstrated experience in the identification of evidence based practice and/or development of treatment protocols.
* 4.Demonstrated experience participating in the planning, implementation and evaluation of local service delivery incorporating the quality improvement process.
* Demonstrated high level organisational and time management skills.
* Demonstrated experience in the provision of clinical supervision, mentoring of staff and/or students.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy in a range of programs.
* Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted
