Job Title: Innovation Systems Specialist
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled systems innovation specialist to join our team. As a key member of our defense systems design and optimization team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of national security.
Your primary responsibility will be to provide technical and programmatic support to government customers, advising leadership on operational efficiencies and resource allocation strategies. You will also serve as a subject matter expert on emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, and space systems capabilities.
Additional responsibilities include assessing innovative concepts and emerging lab capabilities for potential transition onto operational baselines, evaluating impacts to site architecture driven by capability changes, and advising customer and enterprise leadership on the efficacy of planned lab initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide Technical Support: Offer expertise to government customers on defense systems design and optimization, including advising on operational efficiencies and resource allocation strategies.
* Emerging Technologies Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert on emerging technologies, such as AI and space systems capabilities.
* Assess Innovative Concepts: Evaluate innovative concepts and emerging lab capabilities for potential transition onto operational baselines.
* Evaluate Site Architecture: Assess impacts to site architecture driven by capability changes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Clearance: Possess a Top Secret/SCI clearance with a Polygraph.
* Education: Hold a Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) or a relevant field, along with nine years of relevant experience.
* Experience: Possess at least seven years of hands-on systems engineering experience, including preparation of necessary system engineering artifacts.
* Lifecycle Experience: Demonstrate expertise across the full systems engineering lifecycle and project management.
* Communication Skills: Be a polished communicator with impeccable interpersonal skills and personal judgment.
