HealthBright is embarking on a new phase of growth and now have an opportunity for a skilled Head of Finance (Financial Controller) to join our Senior Leadership Team. You will be central to providing strategic leadership for the organisation’s financial governance and identify and implement strategies that position us for stability and business planning alignment.
Reporting directly to the CEO, this permanent full-time role will join our business model of working remotely and can be based anywhere in Australia. You will need to be comfortable aligning your working hours to AEDST.
Responsibilities
- Provide financial advice and analysis to the CEO and Board on all strategic and operational aspects of financial management for the organisation
- Lead cooperative financial planning processes for the business and ensure effective planning cycles within Finance and Business Operations are aligned with the strategic directions of the organisation
- Implement robust financial and corporate management systems to increase organisational efficiency, accountability, transparency, and decision-making
- Maximise the business’s financial strength through effective cash flow management and working capital commitments
- Manage the relationship with external auditors and banks, ensuring that the business meets all requirements for annual financial statements
- Ensure an appropriate internal control framework supported by relevant financial and risk management policies
- Manage our Payroll, Billings, Accounts Receivable and Payable teams
- Work closely and collaboratively with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team to ensure whole of business alignment and objectives
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications with senior leadership experience and a CPA/CA accreditation
- Senior level financial management expertise, including taxation, compliance, asset management, insurance, reporting and legal issues in a complex organisation with significant income, contract management, and reporting requirements
- Ability to operate strategically but also problem solve and support challenges at the operational level
- Ability to manage remote, offshore resources effectively
- Proven stakeholder relationship management – ability to build relationships and strategic partnerships
- Strong organisational, negotiation, and project management skills
- Senior leadership and people management expertise with a collaborative, team centred approach
- Previous experience working in a similar Healthcare environment
