Looking to take the next step in your career?

We are seeking a Construction Environmental Coordinator to support the delivery of a major construction project in a site-based, FIFO capacity. You will work closely with the project team and contractors to ensure environmental requirements are effectively implemented across all stages of construction. This is a hands‐on role suited to a field‐focused professional who thrives on site, enjoys working autonomously, and is passionate about driving strong environmental performance across large‐scale projects. You will support the onsite implementation of environmental management system requirements, ensuring compliance with environmental approvals, regulatory obligations, and project commitments throughout construction.

Key Responsibilities

* Communicate Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) requirements to contractors across all project phases
* Conduct site inspections and monitoring activities, preparing reports and raising non-conformances where required
* Provide environmental advice and day‐to‐day support to project teams and contractors
* Collate and review contractor environmental reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance
* Deliver environmental inductions and training to project and contractor teams
* Support audits and inspections alongside clients, regulators, and key stakeholders
* Maintain environmental registers, documentation, and compliance tracking systems
* Support site handovers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

About You

You hold a tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, with significant experience in a construction or infrastructure environment. You bring strong knowledge of environmental management systems, monitoring, and compliance frameworks, and are confident working in a site‐based role. You have strong communication and decision‐making skills, with a practical, hands‐on approach and the ability to work autonomously. A current driver's licence and White Card are required, with additional certifications such as Senior First Aid or 4WD training highly regarded.
