Upper Murray Family Care (UMFC) is seeking a motivated Carer and Disability Services Trainee to join our Carer and Disability Services (CaDS) team in February 2026.
The Role
The Trainee position is a support role working across all CaDS programs, with a strong focus on supporting the Interchange team.
In this role, you will:
• Support children and families through fun programs, events, and activities.
• Help the team run after-school and holiday programs.
• Assist with admin tasks like newsletters and event planning.
• Work directly with people with disability in a supportive, respectful way.
• Complete your Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) – fully funded by UMFC.
UMFC will support you throughout your traineeship by covering training costs, providing time release to attend study, and ensuring you have access to on-site mentoring and professional development opportunities.
About you
To succeed in this role, you will be:
• Enthusiastic and reliable, with a positive attitude towards learning.
• A supportive team player who enjoys helping others.
• Willing to complete Certificate III in Individual Support studies during the year.
• A good communicator with basic computer skills and a willingness to grow.
