About the role
As an Enhanced Maternal and Child Health Nurse, you will support families and children experiencing complex challenges, helping to identify and respond to risks that may affect health and wellbeing. Your work will focus on building trust, promoting safety, and improving outcomes for children and families who may be facing disadvantage or vulnerability.
Yarra Ranges provides a unique opportunity to work in a landscape of natural beauty, rich in cultural heritage and local identity. Hosting communities as diverse as our teams, with expert Maternal and Health Nurses working across 14 centres. We are passionately delivering key age and stages appointments to over 10,000 families with young children aged 0-6.
We have one Permanent Part Time position available (4 days per week)
This role has an hourly rate of $64.76, plus a higher qualifications allowance, laundry allowance, and superannuation.
Experience and skills we’re looking for
* Post Graduate Diploma in Child & Family Health Nursing, or Post Graduate Diploma of Nursing Science in Child, Family and Community Nursing.
* Extensive experience in providing a comprehensive health service for families with children 0-6 years. This involves providing primary health care, health promotion and parenting.
* Extensive experience in providing the Key Age and Stage Framework program, as well as the flexible component to allow for the additional needs of the child and family support; early identification of health concerns and early intervention with referral to appropriate medical, allied health, community, and social supports.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team-based environment.
* Current AHPRA registration.
