An opportunity is available for a Provisional Psychologist to join a government mental health service supporting current and former ADF members and their families.
This role is ideal for an early‑career psychologist looking to build experience in evidence‑based practice within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.
Key Details
* APS5 equivalent
* Darwin, NT
* 37.5 hours per week
* Initial 12‑month engagement, with extension options
* Structured internal and external supervision provided.
Your new role
* Deliver supervised psychological services, including assessment, counselling, and risk management
* Work with individuals across a range of presentations using evidence‑based approaches
* Maintain accurate, confidential clinical records and care plans
* Participate in clinical supervision and professional development
* Support group programs, intake assessments, and care coordination as required
What you'll need to succeed
* Provisional psychologist registration with AHPRA
* Strong communication and time‑management skills
* Interest in trauma‑informed and client‑centred practice
* Willingness to learn, engage in supervision, and progress toward general registration
Eligibility
* Australian citizenship
* Working with Children or Vulnerable People check (or ability to obtain)
* Ability to obtain a Baseline security clearance
