Healthcare Australia (HCA) is the leading healthcare recruitment provider nationwide, and we're looking for a commercially driven Team Leader to take ownership of our VIC locum nursing desk.

You'll lead a team of 6 in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, focused on filling shifts across hospitals, aged care, community nursing, and NDIS services. With strong demand already in place, your focus will be on lifting performance, reducing unfilled shifts, and building strong pipelines ahead of demand.

This is a hands-on role—perfect for a top-performing agency recruiter ready to step up, or an experienced leader who still enjoys billing and driving results.

What you'll be doing

• Leading, mentoring and developing a young, growing team
• Staying hands‐on with your own locum recruitment desk
• Driving volume recruitment and shift‐fill performance
• Using data and reporting to identify gaps, trends, and opportunities
• Proactively forecasting demand and building pipelines ahead of surge periods

What you'll bring

• A strong background in agency recruitment (ideally healthcare, locum or temp)
• Proven success in a high‐volume, fast‐paced desk
• Leadership experience OR readiness to step into your first Team Lead role
• A commercial, results‐driven mindset with strong KPI ownership
• Confidence in workforce planning and managing fluctuating demand
