We’re incredibly proud of our amazing people, and the unique way we celebrate Mexican culture in everything we do.Job DescriptionThe Payroll Officer is responsible for the payroll process, which includes but is not limited to pre-payroll tasks, reporting and checks, facilitating payroll sign-off processes for corporate restaurants and Hola Central team, and Franchisee’s employee change processes, post-payroll and month-end tasks, and general reporting tasks.Key ResponsibilitiesPayroll Operations:Process fortnightly and off-cycle payroll runs, including terminations and adjustmentsEnsure accurate onboarding and offboarding of employees in payroll systemsRespond to and resolve payroll queries within 24 hoursValidate and reconcile pay files and timesheetsMaintain payroll records and documentation in accordance with internal proceduresReporting & CompliancePrepare payroll and superannuation reports for franchisees and corporate entitiesManage STP submissions to the ATO and run month-end reportingComplete and track workers’ compensation paperwork, claims, and reimbursementsSupport internal and external payroll data requests, audits, and reporting needsSystems & SupportManage the payroll inbox and maintain filing systemsLiaise with internal teams and franchisees to provide payroll-related guidanceCreate and maintain payroll processing documentation and guidesMonitor and support compliance with Awards and system rules via T&A integrationAll Positions In GYG Are Responsible ForBehaving consistently with the brand, culture and brand valuesComplying with all WHS procedures and practices to ensure a safe workplaceAdhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behaviour in completing job duties and assignments and quantity and quality of work performed and ensuring that all their team do the sameKey Requirements3+ years of payroll experience in a multi-site business using time & attendance systemsExperience with outsourced payroll modelsStrong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables), reporting, and data analysisExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficiency in payroll systems including Preceda, Dimensions, Tanda, and IchrisAbility to interpret award conditions and support operational leaders with trainingIntermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Maintain clear, consistent, and professional communication with key stakeholdersDemonstrate a strong sense of urgency and accountability in meeting deadlinesCollaborate effectively as a proactive and reliable team playerApproach tasks and queries in an organised, methodical, and detail-focused mannerWhat We’re Looking ForA personable and approachable communicatorTechnically savvy with a keen eye for accuracyConfident in handling payroll data and complianceAble to work with all levels of staff, from crew to leadershipIn return, GYG will offer you annual bonuses, a high level of autonomy and responsibility to create your success, and the unique opportunity to support a growing brand that is changing the notion of fast food.BenefitsWe’re incredibly proud of our amazing people and always have each other’s backs.
