Join a high-performing NSW Government team managing a diverse and complex property portfolio across Greater Sydney. This is a hands-on, dynamic role suited to an experienced property professional who thrives on stakeholder engagement, site-based work, and portfolio coordination within a structured public sector environment. You’ll undertake site inspections, liaise with contractors and stakeholders, support procurement and due diligence activities, and assist in overseeing day-to-day asset management operations. The role offers hybrid flexibility (Parramatta other office location WFH) and exposure to a broad property portfolio with meaningful impact. Ideal for a proactive, organised and relationship-driven Property or Asset Officer ready to step into a well-supported, mid-level government contract opportunity. Job Title: Property Portfolio Officer Start Date: ASAP End Date: 30 June 2026 Hours/day: 7 hours per day (up to 8 hours per day is fine) Hours/week: 35 hours per week (up to 40 hours per week is fine) Pay Rate: Pay rate was calculated in Fieldglass as $70-$90 p/hr inclusive Location: Hybrid – Tuesdays in Parramatta 4PSQ, a minimum of one other day in an approved Departmental office location, and WFH Key accountabilities of the role: 1) Undertaking site visits to meet contractors, customers and other stakeholders in relation to property management matters 2) Provides assistance with the procurement of goods and services, records management activities, and other tasks as directed 3) Complete necessary due diligence activities relating to the ongoing effective maintenance and identification of site issues for the management of assets 4) Assist, manage work and undertake activities and projects that relates to the day-to-day management of the property and asset portfolio 5) Assist in overseeing the management of a diverse, distributed and complex portfolio of properties and assets Key Challenges of the role: • Assist in managing consultations and negotiations with diverse stakeholders, within agreed timelines, given their varying expectations, viewpoints and interests. • Assist in overseeing the management of a diverse, distributed and complex portfolio of properties and assets. • Undertaking property inspections and site visits across the Greater Sydney region. Inherent requirements of the role/ Essential Skills and Experience • Strong communication and relationship management skills • Effective organisational and administrative experience • Experience working in a property / portfolio management environment • Problem-solving skills and able to adapt to a changing workplace • Willingness to undertake site visits across Greater Sydney • Hold a Class C driver’s licence Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates strongly encouraged to apply.
