Overview
We are seeking applications for the position of Electronics Automation Engineer for our Manufacturing site in Broadmeadows, Victoria. The successful candidate will work in the Engineering and Operations Team on a variety of projects involving the design, development, production and installation of various packaging equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in a wide range of electrical and electronics engineering disciplines, including basic PLC programming, testing, troubleshooting and evaluation within a production environment. The candidate will also be able to effectively communicate their ideas and design to other members of the team.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide inputs/documentation to assist in estimation associated with electrical engineering, preliminary/concept designs, and bill of materials.
* Ensure that the machine meets the specifications and requirements of the customers.
* Lead the development and review design, technical reports, drawings, specifications, and other documentation as required and includes maintaining updated electrical drawings using CAD.
* Programming, troubleshooting, and setting up machines.
* Provide technical support to the Sales and Service departments.
Qualifications and Skills
* Engineering Qualifications – An Australian recognized tertiary degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics
* Electrical Connect and Disconnect Certificate (would be advantageous)
* Registered Engineer or qualifications for registration is a requirement
* Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills and attention to details
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD and SolidWorks
* Experience or exposure to CE and UL standards would be advantageous
* Excellent knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, AS3000 and AS4024
* Machine Verification and Validation would be advantageous
* Team player and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Professional communication skills – Written, Spoken & Documentation
* Some local and interstate travel may be required from time to time to support customers
