Early Childhood Practice Coach - Social Work

ECMS is seeking an enthusiastic Early Childhood Practice Coach with
subject matter expertise in Social Work, Psychology or related discipline to join the team on a full-time basis as part of our ECE team. This is a fixed
term position ending in January 2027. These relational roles serve to
progress evidenced based practice across School Readiness Funding outcomes.
At ECMS we now boast a truly multidisciplinary team of
pedagogical and practice leaders, family and trauma consultants, and allied
health professionals. We learn from each other, building our own capabilities,
and join hands to create safe learning spaces for our teaching teams.
In 2023 our ongoing innovation and approach to relational
practice was recognised when bestowed the prestigious Emeritus Professor
Collette Tayler, Victorian Government Early Childhood Education Award.
What will do you?
1. Coach educational/service leaders and teams to better understand how a relational approach of focusing on building connections and strengthening attachments can create a safe & secure place for children and families who have experienced or are experiencing the impacts of social and emotional vulnerabilities or trauma
2. Collaborate with and guide all educators on contemporary and inclusive strategies with evidence-based trauma informed approaches.
3. Support teaching teams in building relationships with families, including guidance around appropriate referrals and links to services for children and families experiencing vulnerability.
4. Contribute to embedding an organisational trauma informed approach
Work alongside partner organisations.
More about you
5. Tertiary
qualification in Social Work, Psychology or equivalent.
6. Minimum
five years' direct practice experience working in children's and/or family
services.
7. Experience
working in or alongside the early years sector.
8. Extensive
experience, knowledge and skills in relevant contemporary practices and
research
9. Passionate
about learning and personal development.
10. Highly developed interpersonal, communication and
coaching
