As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll process across multiple entities. This will involve using Unipay (with a transition to Employment Hero in the future) to ensure timely and accurate payments to employees.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Process payroll transactions accurately and efficiently
2. Ensure compliance with awards, superannuation, and Fair Work obligations
3. Reconcile payroll reports, STP submissions, leave entitlements, and employee records
4. Collaborate with the People and Culture team to support onboarding, terminations, and audits
5. Respond to payroll queries professionally and discreetly
6. Participate in the rollout and testing of our new payroll system
Requirements:
* Proven experience in payroll management, preferably in a multi-site environment
* Familiarity with Unipay and potential transition to cloud-based HRIS like Employment Hero
* Strong understanding of National Employment Standards, payroll tax, STP, and superannuation compliance
* Attention to detail, discretion, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
* Able to navigate change effectively and thrive in evolving work environments
