Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Risk Director to lead our risk and compliance function. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for shaping our risk strategy, protecting the organisation, and safeguarding the people we serve.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in leading and implementing a risk and compliance function, with strong influencing and negotiation skills. They will also have the ability to develop and lead a team while mentoring and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead a team of five and help define the organisation's approach to risk management.
* Collaborate with senior leadership and the Board to drive real change.
* Oversee insurance placements and supplier relationships to ensure the organisation is well-protected.
* Develop a clear and effective response plan in the event of an incident.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Tertiary qualifications in risk management, law, or a commercial background.
* Proven experience reviewing and enhancing policies, procedures, and systems.
* Capability to translate strategic objectives into operational deliverables.
