We are seeking an experienced Area Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership across multiple high‑volume retail stores. This senior role is responsible for driving strong commercial outcomes, maintaining exceptional operational standards, and leading Store Managers and Department Supervisors to achieve consistent performance excellence. Reporting to the Retail Managing Director, you will play a critical role in delivering sales growth, profitability, and a high‑quality customer experience across the network. Key Responsibilities Achieve and exceed sales targets and gross profit margins in line with business objectives Drive continuous improvement in store and department performance Maximise sales and profitability through effective people leadership and commercial decision‑making Lead, coach and develop Store Managers and Department Supervisors Maintain and elevate standards of customer service across all sites Ensure full compliance with operational, financial, and legislative requirements Manage performance and costs within agreed budgets Oversee training, succession planning, and capability development across teams About You You will be a confident and hands‑on retail leader with a strong background in independent retailers, supermarket or large‑format retail operations. You bring a commercial mindset, thrive in fast‑paced environments, and know how to motivate leaders to deliver results.
