The Team
The Chief Information Officer Division (CIOD) deliver and support a range of ICT services to the agency including infrastructure platforms, application solutions and digital communications. CIOD is committed to building the agency's information technology capability by providing resilient, modern, and secure systems informed by data and insights, and to upskill teams to develop innovative new products and services.
The Chief Technology and Data Officer Branch (CTDOB) is responsible for the management of the agency's ICT infrastructure including on-prem and cloud networks, messaging systems, file storage and management, database administration and software delivery.
The Opportunity
This APS 6 role offers an exciting opportunity to build a strong technical career within a supportive team that makes significant contribution to the delivery of electoral events and day to day operations through an improved maturity of AEC’s systems.
You will focus on managing and improving the AEC’s system infrastructure, such as on-premises server and storage systems, multi-cloud infrastructure primarily in Microsoft Azure but may include Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud computing services, Office 365 applications, AEC’s Standard Operating Environments, and end user device management (Microsoft Intune).
As part of this role you will be working within the CTDOB, to deliver positive outcomes for the patching, hardening, and security matters relating to the support of AEC systems.
To excel you’ll have:
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience in implementing enterprise IT solutions based on-premises and utilising cloud services.
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience in deploying, testing, and maintaining an enterprise sized ICT environment,
* Demonstrated knowledge of risk management principles and processes in context of Infrastructure management.
* Demonstrated experience with managing and migrating solution infrastructure to the Azure platform and investigating and resolving complex issues with the operation of infrastructure and infrastructure as code.
* Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders across all levels and communicate with influence key stakeholders.
* Ability to work effectively across teams to provide systems expertise to enhance and improve existing solutions, including designing, developing, implementing, and testing solutions, in line with business requirements and software development standards
* Demonstrated personal drive and integrity whilst achieving results within legislative and budget parameters.
Desirable
* Demonstrated experience with vulnerability management solutions, such as MECM, Nessus, Satellite, and Ivanti, and MDE.
* Relevant qualifications in IT, including cloud certification.
* Demonstrated knowledge of Australian IT Cyber security frameworks.
* Demonstrated knowledge of IT frameworks, such as ITIL and TOGAF.
* Demonstrated knowledge of the Commonwealth frameworks, including ICT frameworks.
