The Opportunity
We are currently seeking skilled and safety-conscious Field Service Hose Technicians to join our hardworking and dedicated team, working on a 7-on / 7-off roster servicing mine sites throughout the Bowen Basin. This role is offered on a FIFO or DIDO basis, with full accommodation and travel provided.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Perform onsite hydraulic hose removal, fabrication and installation
- Respond to breakdowns and provide preventative maintenance on mining equipment
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic hose and fluid transfer systems
- Maintain, stock and operate a fully equipped mobile workshop (including hose crimpers and consumables)
- Ensure accurate record keeping, stock management and changeover documentation
- Deliver excellent customer service and technical support in the field
- Promote and uphold Hoses24’s safety and environmental procedures on all jobs
What You’ll Bring
- Mechanical aptitude and experience in hydraulic hose and fittings (essential)
- Certificate III in Engineering – Diesel Fitter/Mechanic/Hydraulics (preferred but not essential)
- AURTTA012 – Fabricate and Install Fluid Power Hose Assemblies (preferred but not essential)
- Previous experience in mining, heavy industry, or field-based work (highly regarded)
- Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills in high pressure environments
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Robust safety focus and ability to follow procedures
- A positive, self-motivated attitude with a commitment to safety and teamwork
- Coal Board Medical and Standard 11 (highly regarded)
- Current manual Driver’s Licence (MR/HR essential)
- Successful completion of inductions, site specific medicals and drug and alcohol testing are a requirement of this role
