UGL Fuels & Energy are seeking applicants from experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Engineers for a permanent position based in Perth WA. As part of our Fuels & Energy portfolio, this position will be working on a secured contract with a major oil and gas distributor.
About the role
The Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer will work on engineering design activities for the various terminals and other oil and gas facilities and provide safe, reliable and efficient technical expertise to the business in line with industry best practice, AS standards and UGL policies.This position will ensure all aspects of the engineering design effort (design calculations, drawings, specifications and technical review of the works) are delivered on time, cost effectively and fit for purpose for the project and business requirements.
About you
To be considered for the role the following qualifications will be highly regarded:
·5+ years’ demonstrated experience in LV Electrical, Instrumentation & Control Systems design, engineering, maintenance and/or project implementation and commissioning in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Chemical industries
·Basic understanding of DCS, PLC, SCADA, tank inventory and network systems
·Tertiary engineering qualification
·Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Area (Classification and Design) certification – ASNZS:60079 preferred
·Detailed knowledge of Australian & International codes and standards, good engineering practice and the applicable statutory requirements with respect to Electrical systems in hazardous environments and Instrumentation systems
·Ability to conduct & review Electrical and Instrumentation Design Engineering such as calculations, cable schedules, Block diagrams, Motor sizing, Switchboard design, Layouts etc
·Experience in procurement of E&I Items such as datasheets, specifications, Bid review, technical bid evaluation, Vendor Date review etc
·Vendor data review, co-ordination, and FAT etc
·Experience in implementation, construction, and commissioning of Electrical (LV) and Instrument equipment and systems
·Proven experience in working on brownfield projects across multiple sites/locations
1. Good understanding E&I deliverables, estimation, budget, and project schedule for brownfield scopes
