Location: Stockland Green Hills, 36 Molly Morgan Dr, East Maitland NSW 2323 About the Role This role involves hands-on production of high-quality baked goods in a rapid-paced retail bakery environment.
Youll work alongside a team of bakers to deliver consistent products while maintaining Bakers Delights quality and brand standards.
Key Responsibilities: Weighing, mixing, kneading, and shaping doughs Operating commercial baking equipment (e.g. spiral mixers, ovens, dividers) Monitoring proofing and baking to ensure quality and consistency Decorating or finishing products where required Following production schedules and managing time effectively Ensuring all food safety and hygiene standards are upheld Supporting junior bakers and apprentices as needed Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the bakery Requirements Minimum 3 years commercial baking experience, or Completed Certificate III in Baking (or equivalent) Strong technical baking skills across bread, rolls, and specialty products Ability to follow set recipes and maintain product consistency Reliability and willingness to work early mornings and weekends Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills Desirable: Previous experience in a Bakers Delight bakery Knowledge of food safety procedures (HACCP) Experience with high-volume production What We Offer Competitive hourly rate/salary based on experience Structured support within the Bakers Delight network Ongoing training and development opportunities Friendly, supportive team environment Staff discounts and incentives
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
At least 3 years’ full-time experience as a Baker, ideally in a commercial or artisan bakery
Relevant qualification in baking, patisserie, or commercial cookery (e.g., Certificate III in Baking or equivalent)
Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays as required
Strong attention to detail and a passion for high-quality baked products

About the Role As an Experienced Baker, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a wide variety of bread and pastry products using both traditional and modern methods.
You will ensure the highest standards of hygiene, consistency, and quality are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities Weighing, measuring, and mixing baking ingredients according to recipes and specifications Kneading, maturing, cutting, moulding, and shaping doughs Preparing and baking bread, buns, rolls, and other baked products in ovens Monitoring baking process, temperatures, and timings to ensure high-quality products Adjusting oven temperatures and ingredients to account for environmental conditions and product quality Maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment in accordance with food safety standards Planning production schedules and managing stock levels of baking ingredients Ensuring all baked goods are presented attractively and are ready for sale or delivery on time Collaborating with other team members and mentoring junior staff as needed
