The role has recently become open due in internal promotion, and we're ready to bring the right person onboard to lead our Victorian local and container operations from our Laverton North depot.

What You'll Be Doing
As our Local & Containers Transport Manager, you will oversee the daily management of the depot's local and containerised operations. You'll:
* Lead and manage local transport operations.
* Plan and coordinate daily fleet allocation, driver runs, and transport movements.
* Drive efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.
* Lead, mentor, and support a team of drivers and operational staff.
* Ensure compliance with CoR, Fatigue Management, and WHS requirements.
* Build strong relationships with customers and internal teams.
* Monitor KPIs and implement improvements to lift performance and service levels.
* Work Monday to Friday, leading the day's operational activities.
What You'll Bring
* Proven experience in transport, logistics, or operational leadership.
* Strong leadership, people management, and communication skills.
* Solid understanding of transport compliance and safety obligations.
* Ability to prioritise, problem-solve, and make sound decisions under pressure.
* Proficiency with transport systems (e.g., Freight 2020, Transtech, TMS).
