The Opportunity
Quantum Australia is seeking an experienced professional to lead our partnerships development for the Queensland Node. This role will work closely with other members of the team, advise the CEO, manage stakeholder relationships, and develop strategic business cases, playing a crucial part in driving mutual benefits among industry, academia, and government partners.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and secure partnerships, research funding, and investment opportunities for the Queensland Node of Quantum Australia.
* Work with other members of the team to provide strategic advice and support to the CEO.
* Manage stakeholder relationships and develop business cases to drive quantum technology collaboration and growth.
* Initiate, facilitate, and support stakeholder events focused on Quantum and enabling technologies.
* Represent Quantum Australia at key meetings and events, promoting quantum technologies and building industry, government, and academic connections.
About You
We're looking for someone with extensive experience in business development or relationship management within the quantum and/or advanced technology sector or related industries such as IT, finance, or education.
Strong analytical and conceptual skills are essential, enabling the development of strategic business cases and effective identification of partnership opportunities.
You should be able to thrive in collaborative environments, fostering relationships and driving mutual benefits among industry, academia, and government partners.
Understanding of current trends and technical competency in quantum technology, with the capacity to leverage this knowledge to inform decision-making and strategy development, is also required.
Finally, you should have strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and effectively manage time to prioritise tasks.
What We Can Offer
This is a full-time fixed-term position until March 2027. You will primarily be based at one of our campuses.
As we are a multi-campus organisation, you may be required to work across other locations.
