Senior Fund Accountant Position
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Fund Accountant to join our team.
This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of real and alternative asset funds, including private equity, private debt, and fund of funds.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring accurate and compliant fund administration, and preparing client deliverables to a high quality standard. They will also be required to onboard new funds efficiently, train junior team members, and assist with internal projects as needed.
* NAV calculation and unit pricing (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual)
* Management Accounts Packs
* Statutory Financial Statements (half-year and year-end)
* Distribution calculations
* Management and performance fee calculations
* Lodgement of BAS returns
* Liaison with brokers, fund managers, and custodians
* System and process documentation
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you should have:
* 3–5 years of fund accounting experience (alternatives, hedge, private equity, or property fund administration experience advantageous but not essential)
* Strong understanding of accounting principles, fund administration, and unit pricing
* Relevant qualifications in accounting and/or finance (CPA/CA qualified or willingness to study towards)
* Ability to deliver accurate and timely work under deadlines
* Take initiative in following up and problem-solving in a timely manner
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Team player with the ability to work independently
* Respect for confidentiality
* Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills (essential)
