Technical Documentation Specialist – Yarra Trams

Your Role
As a Technical Documentation Specialist, you'll play a key role in ensuring our technical documents and processes are current, accessible, and maintained to the highest quality. You will:
* Prepare and manage technical documents, including standards, specifications, processes, procedures, and guidelines.
* Coordinate workflows and reporting for the Engineering Management System.
* Work closely with subject matter experts across Engineering, Asset, Maintenance, and Projects to ensure documentation meets compliance and quality standards.
What You'll Be Doing
* Develop, update, and maintain technical documents under the guidance of the Head of Engineering Standards and Systems.
* Ensure technical documents follow established formatting and style guides.
* Manage configuration control and status accounting using approved tools.
* Coordinate Engineering Management System actions and workflows (e.g., Engineering Change, Waivers, Concessions, Type Approvals).
* Act as the primary contact for standards and engineering change queries.
* Prepare reports and perform administrative tasks, including meeting coordination and action tracking.
What We're Looking For
* Degree or qualifications in Engineering/Technology (preferred), Communications, or Policy.
* Demonstrated experience in technical writing and documentation.
* Strong English language writing, editing, and communication skills.
* Experience in regulated industries such as transport or similar.
* Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise documentation.
* Proficiency in MS Word and Adobe Professional.
