As our business continues to expand, we are excited to offer an opportunity for an Assistant Accountant and Payroll/HR Officer to join our dynamic Administration Team.
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated, passionate, and detail-oriented person to support our Senior Managers, Owners and Directors with a variety of financial and administrative tasks. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to further grow their career in a thriving automotive business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead our Human Resource department supporting our Managers across all their respective businesses
- Work closely with Directors, Owners and Senior Management across all their businesses.
- Liaise with our OH&S; co-ordinator as required
- Process weekly payroll for all business
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Debtor control and creditor reconciliations
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements
- Assist with all facets of deal processing
- Support BAS, FBT, and tax return processes
- Manage and maintain the fixed asset register
- Liaise with external auditors
- Assist the Financial Controller with day-to-day finance operations
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Passion and experience with HR responsibilities and management
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
- A proactive, self-starting attitude with the ability to work both autonomously and within a team
- A strong sense of confidentiality and professionalism
- A willingness to learn and grow within a supportive environment
