MSP is Seeking a Senior Network Engineer to Join their Growing Team

A leading managed service provider that is based in Melbournes South-East is seeking a Senior Networking Engineer for a permanent opportunity, commencing ASAP. In this newly created role, you will help deliver end-to-end projects for end clients that are strongly network-focused. You will be able to tailor cutting-edge technology solutions to provide the optimum infrastructure set-ups to meet their needs. This position will suit someone who is driven and able to manage their time effectively, to meet competing deadlines.
Your new role
In this challenging and rewarding position, you will be responsible for:
* Managing and maintaining a wide range of network and security technologies to ensure their optimal operation.
* Implementing customer-requested changes and working as a part of the project team when implementing major changes to a customers services.
* Delivering end-to-end projects for clients from scoping through to support stages.
* Maintain current documentation, e.g. project plan and budget, time sheets etc.
* Performing physical and logical network deployments and migrations.
* Acting as the escalation point for network-related outages.
* Communicate with clients regularly to keep them up to date and informed.
* Provide client training sessions to ensure they are familiar with their new environment once the project has been delivered.
* Act as the escalation point with the project team for technical issues.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Demonstrated experience managing and maintaining systems, cloud, network & security infrastructure.
* Strong knowledge and experience with Cisco routing & switching, Fortinet / Palo Alto firewalls, Ruckus / Cisco / Aruba WiFi, MPLS / SD-WAN and Hyper-V / VMware.
* Experience with Azure, Office 365, Exchange, Windows Server, Unifi, Dell, Aruba, Fortigate, Sophos, WatchGuard is advantageous.
* Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills.
* Tertiary education in Information Technology as well as Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto and Aruba certifications are preferred.
* Excellent critical thinking and ability to adapt.
* Previous experience working for an MSP or Consultancy is advantageous.
* Experience implementing IT projects.
* A valid driving licence.
