2-month Business Support Officer (Engineering Services) opportunity to work for Local Government in the North-West suburbs | ASAP start – 2-month contract | $46.99 per hour
Are you an organised and motivated administrator with solid customer service skills? Join a dynamic Engineering Services team within a local government in Melbourne’s north-west and provide vital support to one of the fastest-growing municipalities in Victoria.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Manager and staff across Engineering Services.
- Manage telephones, meetings, records, and documentation efficiently.
- Maintain and update databases, filing systems, and department information on the Council website.
- Assist with the production of documents, reports, and marketing or consultation material.
- Deliver excellent customer service to residents, consultants, developers, service authorities, and government bodies.
- Contribute to process improvements to support efficiency and functionality.
Qualifications
- A post-secondary qualification in administration (below diploma level) and relevant experience in administration.
- Excellent computer skills, including experience with Windows-based applications and databases.
- Strong communication skills – written, verbal, and interpersonal.
- Demonstrated ability to provide professional customer service.
- Robust organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and work within deadlines.
- A current driver’s licence.
Requirements
- Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Employee Working with Children Check may be required.
- Must adhere to Council’s OH&S; and Child Safe standards.
