Join Mackay Regional Council as a Project Manager and lead medium to large-scale projects that enhance our community. You will manage project execution, control, and completion, ensuring compliance with all contractual obligations. Build and maintain relationships with contractors and stakeholders to deliver projects efficiently and to the highest standards.
Although not essential for this position, experience in buildings, parks, playgrounds and public realm works are desirable.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver projects on time, within scope, and budget.
* Maintain project schedules and budgets.
* Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies.
* Ensure contractor compliance with contractual obligations.
* Liaise with asset owners and ensure project outcomes meet expectations.
Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills
* Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Building, or Construction Management.
* QLD “C” Class Drivers Licence.
* Experience in infrastructure delivery, project management, and contract administration.
* Experience liaising with consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
Desirable
* Experience in public works infrastructure construction and/or maintenance.
* Qualification in Project Management.
* Contract management training.
