Senior Manager - Financial Performance Insights
My client is a large, complex and well regarded organisation and is seeking a strategic and highly influential Senior Manager, Financial Performance Insights to join their FP&A team. This pivotal newly created role leads executive reporting and drives the implementation and embedding of the organisation's new budget model. Acting as a critical bridge between the FP&A function, other finance teams and senior executives, you will transform complex financial frameworks, model outputs and assumptions into clear, decision‐ready insights, narratives and tools that influence strategy and performance outcomes.
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of FP&A, you will drive the effective adoption and operationalisation of the new budget model while delivering high‐quality executive reporting and strategic financial insights. Success in this role will rely less on technical model ownership and more on your ability to frame, position and communicate financial performance in ways that resonate with senior decision‐makers and non‐technical audiences.
Key Responsibilities
Budget Model Enablement & Capability
* Lead the development and delivery of procedures, guidelines, training materials and decision‐support tools to assist the implementation of the new budget model.
* Facilitate stakeholder engagement and structured feedback processes to identify opportunities for improvement, clarify recurring issues and support the consistent application of the framework.
* Translate technical financial modelling concepts and outputs into practical, accessible guidance and communication.
* Champion continuous improvement opportunities while reinforcing the model's strategic intent and principles.
* Balance local reporting needs with organisation‐wide consistency, comparability and system constraints.
Executive Reporting & Strategic Narratives
* Prepare concise, executive‐ready briefing papers, board‐quality presentation materials and commentary for both finance and non‐finance audiences.
* Deliver impactful, data‐driven insights to Finance leadership, executives and broader stakeholder groups.
* Partner with FP&A leaders and Finance stakeholders to co‐ordinate formal executive submissions, including budget and forecasting reports.
Stakeholder Engagement & Influence
* Lead strategic discussions with senior stakeholders, providing trusted financial insight and supporting executive decision‐making.
* Collaborate closely with FP&A technical specialists to interpret and communicate complex model outputs and reporting frameworks.
About You
You are a highly credible finance professional with exceptional communication and influencing skills, capable of engaging senior executives and translating financial complexity into compelling insights and narratives. You will bring:
* Demonstrated experience delivering high‐quality executive briefings, presentations and financial performance reporting.
* Proven ability to communicate financial performance insights to executive, finance and non‐finance audiences.
* Advanced capability to distil complex financial outputs into clear, concise and visually compelling insights.
* Experience translating financial concepts, frameworks or models into practical guidance and tools for non‐technical stakeholders.
* Strong cross‐functional collaboration skills with a track record of delivering organisation wide finance outcomes.
* A highly developed sense of professional judgement, autonomy and organisational awareness.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
* Extensive experience in FP&A, executive reporting and financial advisory roles within a large and complex organisation.
* Experience supporting major finance transformation initiatives, new frameworks or system implementations.
