The Enrolled Nurse provides direct patient/client centred nursing care to assigned patients/clients, within the scope of practice of an enrolled nurse and under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse/midwife to achieve planned patient outcomes.
The Team
The DPU team cares for day admitted patients for procedures including gastroenterology, Cardiology, Radiology, Infusions, respiratory and Endocrine specialties. It is a very busy unit with the successful applicant required to work within the multidisciplinary team.
The Role
Direct patient care within the scope of practice of an enrolled nurse and under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse/midwife to achieve planned patient outcomes.
You will need
* Sound Knowledge and skills in nursing care, Gastroenterology procedures and practices
* Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team - excellent communication and organisation skills
* previous experience in a day procedure environment would be preferred.

Details of appointment
* Permanent, part-time, day worker position, working up to 16hours per fortnight, commencing from as soon you can join us.
* Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary
$73,109 to $80,524 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
* Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
* Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type

* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as an Enrolled Nurse (holds a Board-approved qualification in administration of medicines)
