Location: Sunnybank QLD Salary: $76,600 per annum plus superannuation Hauff's Butchery is a well-established, family-owned butcher shop based in Sunnybank, Queensland. We are currently seeking a Skilled Meat Worker to join our team on a full-time basis.
* About the Role*
Working within our retail and processing environment, you will be responsible for preparing and processing high-quality meat products while maintaining strict food safety and hygiene standards.
* Key Responsibilities:*
Breaking down carcasses into primal and sub-primal cuts Boning, trimming and preparing meat to customer and retail specifications Portioning and value-adding meat products Using knives and meat processing equipment safely and efficiently Maintaining food safety, cleanliness and workplace health and safety standards Assisting with stock rotation and quality control Supporting general butcher shop operations as required Skills and Experience Required: Minimum 2 years' experience as a Skilled Meat Worker / Butcher / Boner / Slicer Demonstrated knife skills and sound knowledge of meat cuts Experience working in a commercial butcher shop or meat processing environment Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards Ability to work in a physically demanding environment Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a small team
