Graduate Electrical Engineer Opportunity
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Graduate Electrical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be involved in complex infrastructure projects, working on high-impact initiatives and developing expertise in compliance, systems modernisation, and protection systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting site-wide hazardous area compliance reviews by collaborating with engineers and stakeholders across departments to ensure projects meet technical, safety, and operational requirements.
* Assisting in the design and delivery of end-of-life electrical system upgrades by leveraging complex infrastructure projects and hands-on problem-solving skills.
* Contributing to electrical protection assessments and arc flash studies through strong attention to detail and a safety-first mindset.
* Delivering capital projects such as PCS server upgrades, coal unloading system improvements, and I/O enhancements by working collaboratively across disciplines and implementing high-impact initiatives.
* Participating in the modernisation of legacy systems and strengthening electrical reliability through proactive attitude, openness to feedback, and motivation to grow into a future leader.
* Begins in the Capital Projects team in Railton, Tasmania, and rotates to Gladstone, Queensland in the second year, requiring willingness to relocate for site rotations with support provided for moves to Railton (TAS) and Gladstone (QLD).
About You:
* Completed or near completion of a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering with interest in complex infrastructure projects and hands-on problem-solving.
* Strong ability to collaborate across disciplines and work on high-impact initiatives while developing expertise in compliance, systems modernisation, and protection systems.
* Proactive attitude, openness to feedback, and motivation to grow into a future leader with eagerness to develop skills and take on new challenges.
