We are seeking a Project Officer to join the Domestic Animal Policy team to deliver advice, analysis and research on diverse and challenging policy issues relating to domestic animal management and welfare. The management of domestic animals and their welfare is a high-profile policy area with a broad range of stakeholders.
As the successful candidate you will:
* Provide support for the development and delivery of legislation and associated regulatory projects
* Lead small projects and support larger projects within the Domestic Animal Policy Team
* Work with a broad range of stakeholders within and outside of government
* Have a solid understanding of policy concepts, experience in analysing, researching and developing policy advice
* Apply sound logic in the preparation of recommendations
* Display a 'can-do' attitude and have the capacity to actively contribute to developing a culture of excellence, collaboration and integrity
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
* A relevant tertiary degree would be well regarded.
This is a fixed term position available until 27 November 2026. The work location for this position is Mickleham Road, Attwood with hybrid work arrangements available.
