About the role
Byrnes Meats is seeking an experienced Butcher Shop Retail Supervisor to join our team in Manunda, Queensland. As a key member of our retail operations, you will be responsible for supervising and supporting our team of retail assistants to deliver exceptional customer service and maximise sales. This is a full-time position based in our retail store, with opportunities for career progression within our growing business.
What you'll be doing
* Supervising and coordinating the daily activities of the retail team, ensuring high levels of customer service and efficient store operations
* Providing hands-on training and mentoring to retail staff, developing their skills and knowledge of our products and services
* Monitoring and reporting on key performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing actions to drive sales
* Assisting with inventory management, stock control and merchandising to maintain an attractive and well-stocked retail environment
* Resolving customer queries and complaints in a professional and courteous manner
* Contributing to the development and implementation of retail strategies and initiatives
What we're looking for
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a retail or customer service supervisory role, preferably within the food and/or butchery industry
* Strong customer service orientation and the ability to lead and motivate a team
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with customers and staff at all levels
* Sound knowledge of inventory management, merchandising and retail operations
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
* Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
