Position Information
Kooringal High School has an enrolment of approximately 890 students including 10% Aboriginal students. Kooringal High School is located in Wagga Wagga. The school is partially selective with up to 150 students who have gained enrolment through the Selective High School Placement processes. The school supports a wide range of curriculum offerings for students including a trade training centre and a purpose-built performing arts venue. Students are supported by a committed staff. The school has strong community ties and is supported by a proactive and engaged Parents and Citizens Association. Key Responsibilities
* Design and deliver innovative, differentiated, and inclusive programs for a diverse range of students, including EAL/D and First Nation students.
* Lead a collaborative faculty team with highly developed verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with students, staff, parents, and the wider community.
* Lead faculty strategic planning to improve student outcomes, including managing resources, budgeting, and implementing school and department policies.
General Selection Criteria
* Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice.
* Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs.
* Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams.
* Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents.
* Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning.
* Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy.
