Support Worker Opportunity
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate support worker to join our team. The role is pivotal in enhancing the quality of life among elderly or disabled clients in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with daily activities, ensuring their physical comfort and emotional well-being in a safe environment.
* Mobility Support: Help clients move around safely using appropriate equipment such as walkers.
* Household Support: Perform housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry to maintain a hygienic living space.
* Companionship: Engage clients in social activities and meaningful conversations to prevent isolation.
* Emotional Support: Provide empathetic care to alleviate anxiety and promote mental well-being.
* Documentation: Maintain accurate records of client care, including observations and any changes in their condition.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Compassionate and patient attitude with a genuine commitment to elderly care.
* Effective communication skills to interact with clients, families, and team members.
* Reliability, trustworthiness, and respect for confidentiality.
* Physical capability to assist with mobility and personal care tasks.
* Previous experience in caregiving, healthcare, or related fields is advantageous.
* First aid and CPR certification is required.
* Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent.
* Police Check.
