Vacancy Post: Housekeeper Position at the High Commission of Malta in Canberra
The High Commission of Malta in Canberra invites applications for the position of a Housekeeper. This role is significant in maintaining the efficiency of the official premises, including the Chancery, the residence of the High Commissioner and the Deputy High Commissioner.
Key Responsibilities
The primary duties associated with this role include:
· Performing general housekeeping tasks across designated locations;
· Assisting with the set-up and service of diplomatic and official functions;
· Preparing and cooking meals as required;
· Managing laundry and related domestic tasks;
· Carrying out any other related duties as may be assigned by the High Commissioner or the Deputy High Commissioner.
Candidate Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for the position:
· Must be a citizen or permanent resident of Australia;
· Possession of a clean national police certificate;
· A valid Working with Children certificate;
· A valid driver's license;
· Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends;
· Willingness to work in an environment with pets;
· Demonstrated punctuality, reliability, and trustworthiness;
· Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage tasks effectively;
· Previous experience in a similar role will be considered an advantage.
