THE POSITION
As a Bindery Operator, you will be responsible for hand work and operating a variety of bindery equipment, while ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks and maintaining a high standard for producing quality products.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Setting up and operating a variety of bindery equipment
- Ensure jobs are completed to the correct specifications and in a timely manner
- Ensure quality in the work performed and review final products
- Perform any hand work tasks as directed
- Ensure equipment and bindery facility are maintained in good working order and are clean and presentable at all times
- Ability to halt production, repair and reset the equipment, and continue the project in a timely manner if a problem occurs
- Operate forklift
- Track jobs through MIS and input data where required
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Experience as an all round Bindery Operator in the printing industry is essential
- Guillotine experience preferred but not essential
- Print MIS experience not essential, but must be willing to learn
- Extensive knowledge of printing processes and bindery equipment
- Self-motivated, proactive and professional
- Organised with a strong attention to detail
- Keen eye for quality control
- Works well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Must be a team player with a "Can do!" attitude
This is a full time position Monday to Friday, located in Dandenong South. You therefore need to be residing in Melbourne, have your own reliable transport and must have the right to work in Australia.
Remuneration will be based on demonstrated skill and experience.

**Salary**: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
