FHL are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance function and play a pivotal role in supporting our strategic growth and operational excellence.
About the Role
As Financial Controller, you will lead the financial operations of the organisation, ensuring high‐quality reporting, strong financial governance, and enhanced operational capability. You will work closely with the Executive, Board, and senior leaders across the organisation, providing insights and strategic advice to support decision‐making and organisational performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead financial group reporting & forecasting, including statutory accounts, budgets, reforecasts, and Board reports.
* Manage treasury functions, including cash management, hedging, and covenant compliance.
* Manage group finance activities including consolidated reporting and intercompany arrangements.
* Oversee taxation matters including BAS, GST, and FBT compliance.
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and grant reporting requirements.
* Oversee financial processing, including payments, payroll, fixed assets, and banking.
* Provide strategic financial advice to support business planning and operational decision‐making.
* Partner with Executive leaders on financial modelling, scenario planning, and business transformation initiatives.
* Drive system enhancements, automation, and data governance across financial operations.
* Lead and mentor a finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
* Ensure robust financial controls, risk mitigation, and policy governance.
* Act as a key liaison with auditors, financiers, government regulators, and key stakeholders.
About You
* CA/CPA qualification with a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Financial Controller.
* Proven ability to influence executive decision‐making through financial insight and analysis.
* Strong expertise in accounting standards, financial reporting, and compliance.
* Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and problem‐solving skills.
