Role Overview
The Cleaner, under the general supervision of the Cleaner in Charge/Senior Cleaner in Charge, is responsible for a range of internal and external cleaning duties at Comet Bay College, a modern state‐of‐the‐art educational facility catering for students in Year 7 to Year 12.
Responsibilities
• Maintain carpets and hard‐floor surfaces, sanitize toilets, clean furniture, fittings and windows.• Perform dusting and rubbish removal.• Conduct vacation cleaning duties such as stripping and sealing vinyl floors, shampooing carpets and pressure cleaning verandas.• Report faults, maintenance issues and incidents to the designated supervisor, ensuring compliance with departmental and occupational safety standards.
Eligibility
* Obtain a valid Working With Children Check.
* Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number before commencing.
* Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or hold a visa with valid work rights for the term of the appointment.
