Salary Range: Graduate $84,077 to Experienced Proficient Teacher $123,101 FTE Gross per annum plus 12.75% superannuation

St Therese's School, Bentley Park St Therese's Parish School is an integral part of the Cairns Diocese and the Edmonton Parish. Located just 20 minutes south of Cairns City, St Therese's provides Catholic Education to an area that is currently referred to as the 'growth corridor' of Cairns. The first Catholic school in Edmonton, Edmonton Convent School, was established by the Sisters of Mercy on 29 April 1929, with an enrolment of just 30 students. Its original location was on the Bruce Highway in the small township of Edmonton—an area originally established as a sugar-milling town to serve surrounding sugarcane farms. Since those early days, the school has undergone many changes and was renamed in 1965 to St Therese's School. In 1995, it was relocated to its current position, continuing to grow to meet increasing enrolments from new residential developments south of the city. Today, it has approximately 620 students from Prep to Year 6. The school prides itself on its rich history and modern facilities, supporting a holistic and quality educational environment. In 2011, the school completed a master plan following $5.5 million in capital projects as part of the Building the Education Revolution and facilities expansion.
About the Role We are seeking an enthusiastic classroom teacher to join our team.
The role of the Teacher is to support the school's mission through implementing the learning and teaching program. This involves planning, preparing, and delivering effective educational programs; contributing to the development and implementation of school objectives and planning; ensuring appropriate teaching methods are applied; establishing and maintaining a supportive school environment based on data analysis; and efficiently managing available resources.
As a Teacher, you will:
Plan, prepare, and deliver effective learning and teaching programs Contribute to the development and implementation of school objectives and planning Contribute to establishing and maintaining a supportive school environment Teachers are accountable to and under the direction of the school Principal or delegate.
