Emergency Response Training Specialist
We are seeking a seasoned emergency response training specialist to join our team. As a key member of our training department, you will be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality emergency response training programs that meet contractual requirements.
In this role, you will work closely with our operations team to develop departmental-specific curriculum guidelines consistent with national legislation, best practices, and program implementation. You will also support the development of assessment tools to ensure appropriate systems, governance, and processes are in place to manage ongoing skills and competency maintenance.
Additionally, you will contribute at a state and national level to the development of training curriculum, learning guides, and assessment procedures for emergency response topics. Your expertise will be crucial in overseeing the Fire Development Program and facilitating successful succession planning for our fire management needs.
You will coordinate and deliver formal training across various locations in Australia, supporting our fire crews with planning and facilitating team training activities in line with emergency scenarios and drills. You will also monitor and ensure compliance with operational and emergency procedures documents as required.
* Background in firefighting and first aid capability to assist with knowledge regarding within the training and assessment requirements.
* Evidence matrix of skills and competencies to support firefighting background.
* Familiar with emergency services and operational excellence practices.
* Experience in training and people management.
* Experience in high-risk and diverse emergency response organizations is highly desirable.
* PUA50120 Diploma of Public Safety (Emergency Management).
* PUA30622 Certificate III in Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Operations).
* TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Diploma of Vocational Education & Training desirable).
* PUAFIR205 Respond to aviation incident (specialist).
* PUAFIR305 Respond to aviation incidents (general).
* HLTAID014 Provide Advanced First Aid or higher qualification.
* Valid Drivers License.
* Must be able to maintain a defence baseline security clearance, as a result the successful incumbent must be an Australian Citizen.
