About the Role:
The role is responsible for development, support and continuous improvement of electronics systems and will also be instrumental in helping improve product reliability and reduce product costs. The role will also be involved in researching and implementing new electronics technologies and solutions.
This is a full-time position.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop electronic circuits and software, ensuring compliance with Australian and international standards.
* Manage electronics projects from concept to completion, meeting timelines and cost objectives.
* Analyse product failures, prioritize improvements, and implement continuous enhancements to maintain product reliability and quality.
* Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities for electronics in collaboration with our purchasing team.
* Provide essential electronics support across various departments, including purchasing, production, service, and sales.
* Influence and drive future electronics and software development by providing feedback, participating in design reviews, and staying abreast of the latest technological advancements.
* Promote and maintain the highest degree of health, safety, and well-being for yourself and others, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
* Collaborate across teams to ensure adherence to company policies, quality systems (including ISO standards), and environmental standards.
What You\'ll Bring
* A bachelor\'s degree in Electronics Engineering.
* Proficiency with associated CAD packages (Altium experience is a plus).
* A strong understanding of electronics manufacturing and production testing processes.
* Experience with software code for embedded applications (written in \"C\").
* Hands-on experience with prototyping and testing circuits.
* Knowledge of electronic component failure modes and EMC design techniques and testing.
* A working knowledge of electrical and product safety standards (LVD, EMC, etc.).
* An outgoing, highly motivated self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills and a desire to achieve measurable results.
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
* Excellent analytical and research abilities.
* A results-oriented mindset with the ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines.
* The capacity to quickly build strong, trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
