Join Interite, a national design and construct firm at the forefront of specialist healthcare, indigenous, and commercial interior environments. We're seeking a Senior Interior Designer to bring innovation, leadership, and end-to-end design expertise to life-changing projects across Australia.
As a Senior Interior Designer, you'll lead projects from concept to completion. You'll work closely with our clients to understand their vision, functionality needs, and brand identity – and translate these into environments that inspire and perform.
This is more than aesthetics – you'll create spaces that enable better healthcare, foster community, and transform lives. You'll collaborate with a highly experienced team across design, project delivery, and site management to ensure a seamless journey from idea to built reality.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the creative direction of interior design projects from concept to handover.
* Work closely with clients to understand their objectives, risks, budgets, and preferences.
* Prepare and present design concepts, documentation, and finishes with confidence and clarity.
* Specify and curate materials, furniture, and finishes aligned with client needs and vision.
* Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, engineers, and contractors.
* Ensure design intent is upheld through delivery, maintaining high attention to detail.
* Stay ahead of design trends, sustainability, and innovation in the industry.
* Ensure compliance with codes and standards (with the support of our Technical Design Team).
What You Bring
* Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role, ideally in commercial design & construct.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Teams).
* Strong creative and conceptual thinking balanced with practical execution.
* Confidence in presenting and communicating with clients and stakeholders.
* A team-first mindset, adaptability, and a genuine passion for purposeful design.
