Clinical Nurse Consultant

The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) will offer advanced clinical guidance and case coordination for complex situations involving sexual assault and/or family violence.
They will provide training and education to healthcare staff on trauma-informed care approaches and services related to sexual assault and/or family violence in the North West region.
The CNC will develop, implement, and maintain evidence-based policies and procedures. They will collaborate with community partners, police, child protection services, and statewide SAFE services. The CNC will lead quality improvement initiatives, data collection activities, mentor and supervise nursing, midwifery, and/or medical staff in responding to sexual assault and/or family violence cases. They will participate in an on-call roster as needed and possess current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse. Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field are preferred. Demonstrated experience in sexual assault and/or family violence and/or mental health settings is essential. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and be able to work independently and effectively with diverse communities.
