An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a well respected and large scale business as Credit Manager. This is a permanent, full-time role located in Darra.
The successful candidate will oversee a well-established accounts receivable and collections team and report to the Financial Controller.
Responsibilities
* Manage a team of 5 Accounts Receivable and Collections Officers.
* Provision of training, mentoring and guidance to team members.
* Liaise with the collection agency and solicitors regarding any accounts having legal action taken. Ensure that the legal ledger is reconciled at all times.
* Achieve a reduction in DSO, ensuring outstanding monies are collected in a timely fashion.
* Liaise with branch staff to resolve disputes and issues causing payment to be withheld.
* Ensure the retention ledger is reconciled at all times.
* Supply regular reports to the CEO, CFO, Financial Controller & Sales Management regarding collections.
* Archive records in line with legislative requirements when and as required.
* Be aware of, and adhere closely to the rules and regulations, policies and procedures of the organization and familiarize yourself with internal computer systems.
* Focus on improvement and innovation.
* Ensure the integrity of data and systems.
Qualifications
* At least 5 years experience in Credit Management & sound knowledge in Accounts Receivable.
* Able to multitask and prioritise duties.
* Experience in building relationships across different levels of the organisation including strong interpersonal skills.
* Intermediate Excel skills, ERP systems experience and proficient with the Microsoft suite.
* Possess a continuous improvement mindset.
